Alamo is a city in Wheeler County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,943 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Wheeler County. Alamo was founded in 1909. Alamo's courthouse was built in 1913 and is on the National Register of Historical Places. The Lamplighter Little Theatre dates back to 1919.
