It lies along local roads near Nebraska Highways 11 and Nebraska Highway 95, southwest of the city of O'Neill, the county seat of Holt County. Its elevation is 2,182 feet (665 m), and it is located at 42°14′8″N 98°54′43″W / 42.23556°N 98.91194°W / 42.23556; -98.91194 (42.2355600, -98.9120422). The community is named for Amelia A. Bliss.
