Waynesboro is a borough in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, located 78 miles (126 km) northwest of Baltimore, Maryland, 67 miles southwest of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and 2 miles (3 km) north of the Mason-Dixon Line. The population within the borough limits was 9,614 at the 2000 census. When combined with the surrounding Washington, and Quincy Townships the population of the greater Waynesboro area is 27,019. The Waynesboro Area School District serves a resident population of 28,376, according to 2000 federal census data [1]. The Waynesboro Area Senior High School has approximately 1,383 students [2].
