Flint is a city in the U.S. state of Michigan and is located along the Flint River, 66 miles (106 km) northwest of Detroit. As of the 2000 census, the city had a population of 124,943. In 2010 Flint was awarded an energy improvement grant by the U.S. Department of Energy.
