The Milton-Madison Bridge connects it to Madison, Indiana and is the only automobile link between the two states for 40 miles in either direction. Milton is one of the oldest towns in Kentucky, and Barrack Obama's heritage has recently been linked to a slave family from Milton. It was seen in the 1958 film Some Came Running.
