Formerly known as Tippecanoe, and then Tippecanoe City, this town was renamed to Tipp City in 1938 because another town in Ohio was likewise named Tippecanoe. The Miami Valley town now lies along Interstate 75 near the Interstate 70 interchange, and has a growing downtown restaurant and service economy to complement its rural and residential heritage.
