Hayes Center is a village in Hayes County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 240 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Hayes County. It is the location of the 1925-built St. John's Evangelical Lutheran German Church and Cemetery, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
