OpenJurist

Welcome to the New and Improved OpenJurist!

Over the last several months we have made many modifications to OpenJurist to give it much more functionality and make the site look nicer!

Now, each opinion is accompanied with more information about the legal issues that are relevant for that opinion. Click on the links in the "Learn More About ..." section on the right side of any case to be able to understand the relevant areas of law covered by the case.

We have worked hard to write relevant information for as many areas of law as we could to explain the basics of that particular area of law, be it employment law, false claims act law or class actions.

We will need help from the legal community to expand it further. So, if you are an expert in a particular area of law that you notice is lacking, please contribute your knowledge to the community. Members of our community may even contribute back to your practice! Please feel free to email us at openjurist@gmail.com for more information about how you can help!

There is more to come! We are also working hard at expanding the opinions to include many more of them.

Calling All Attorneys - OpenJurist Needs Your Help

OpenJurist is working on releasing an ambitious expansion to become a better resource for those seeking to learn about where they stand in relation to the law.

We need attorneys who would like to contribute their expertise to the community in writing short descriptions of the area of law you practice. You may also be asked to write answers to basic legal questions people have.

This commitment is as long or as short as you would like it to be.

Please contact us at: openjurist - at - gmail - dot - com and tell us about the area of law you practice, your experience, and give us a link to your website.

Your contribution is appreciated!

Introducing the United States Code on OpenJurist

OpenJurist is growing! You can now access the United States Code on OpenJurist. Our integration is not complete yet, but the US Code is available so we wanted to make it accessible. Please let us know what you think by emailing us here: openjurist - at - gmail - dot - com. It will take Google a little while to make it searchable, but in the mean time if you know the section you need you can navigate your way there.
