There is no doubt that as Mrs. Shafer owned only a life-estate in the lands, her decease, on the 21st day of November, 1887, put an end to appellee’s right to possession of the lands, and that he had no rights under the lease except to the growing crops on the lands at the time of the death of the lessor.
