Jones v. Walker

U.S. Courts of Appeals

Decided May 3, 2001

U.S. Courts of Appeals · decided 2001-05-03

Applies 28 U.S.C. § 2254 (Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996)

Decided 2001-05-03

PER CURIAM.

¶1 Rodney Jones appeals the district court’s order denying relief on his petition filed under 28 U.S.C.A. § 2254 (West 1994 & Supp.2000). We have reviewed the record and the district court’s opinion and find no reversible error. Accordingly, we deny his motion for a certificate of appeal-ability and dismiss the appeal on the reasoning of the district court. See Jones v. Walker, No. CA-00-188-1-2-MU (W.D.N.C. Sept. 20, 2000). We dispense with oral argument because the facts and legal contentions are adequately presented in the materials before the court and argument would not aid the decisional process.

¶2 DISMISSED.
