Most-quoted passages
The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 3 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.
“The standard of review of the denial of a motion for postconviction relief after an evidentiary hearing requires deference to the trial court’s factual findings. See Brancaccio v. State, 27 So.3d 739 (Fla. 4th DCA 2010). An appellate court is not empowered to make findings of fact. See Hunter v. State, 87 So.3d 1273 (Fla. 1st DCA 2012). The trial court was required to set forth the findings and conclusions that showed why Defendant was not entitled to relief on his claims. Absent any such findings, we cannot review the sufficiency of its ruling.”
