“* * * We think the only substantial effect of the instruction is to inform the jury that they have the right in determining the credibility to be accorded to the testimony of the defendant to consider his interest in the result of the trial, in addition to noticing his manner, and taking into consideration the probability of his statements in connection with the other evidence in the cause.
