““ * * * As to the four defendants who filed the motion to vacate the judgment, the court now has jurisdiction, but only to grant time to plead or answer to the complaint herein. The general ap pearance did not validate the void judgment. However, as to the defendants who did not join in the motion and the unknown defendants, the attempted substituted service by publication is void.
