Attorneys—Misconduct—Violations of the Rules of Professional Conduct, including filing a frivolous motion, filing a motion containing threats of criminal and professional-misconduct charges for the sole purpose of obtaining an advantage in a civil matter, and engaging in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice—One-year suspension with six months conditionally stayed.

Mandamus—Writ sought to order county board of commissioners to approve judge's application for appointment of counsel to bring a mandamus action to secure payment of court expenses—Once expenses were paid, relief in mandamus action would not affect the outcome—Mandamus will not lie to compel a vain act—Cause dismissed as moot.

Mandamus—Appellant's complaint to compel Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction to correct records pertaining to him failed to identify any error within the records themselves—Court of appeals also did not err in concluding that appellant has no clear right to be released under R.C. 2967.15(B)—Court of appeals' denial of writ affirmed.

Court of appeals' judgment vacated and cause remanded for application of Acuity v. Masters Pharmaceutical, Inc.

Elections—Mandamus—Action to compel secretary of state to direct boards of elections and precinct election officials to challenge electors denied as moot because primary election is over—Boards of elections have no clear legal duty to segregate and disqualify August 2, 2022 primary-election ballots of electors that voted for another party at the May 3, 2022 primary election—Writ denied.
