Most-quoted passages
The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 6 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.
““A court of eqMty will not set aside, cancel or rescind a contract until some substantial reason is shown why such relief should be granted. In order to justify such relief an averment of fraud, mistake, misrepresentation, total or partial incapacity 'of the party or parties to contract, duress or overreaching, illegality, or some defect or insufficiency of the property or title thereto concerning which the contract is made, must appear in order for a court of equity to decree a cancellation or rescission of a contract. 6 Cvc. 286-7.” Utterback v.
