Most-quoted passages
The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 35 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.
“The court reserved jurisdiction to determine and apportion their interest after the final determination of the Spector-Johnson lawsuit. We find no error in this procedure. Rule 54(b) of the Rules of Civil Procedure allows the trial court to enter judgment in fewer than all of the claims presented. Clearly the disposition of these assets must await the outcome of the Speetor-Johnson suit, while all other issues are resolved by the judgment in this one.”
