“(b) To be successful with (his) claims of ineffectiveness of trial counsel, [Barge] must demonstrate that (his) attorney’s performance was deficient and that the deficiency prejudiced (his) defense. (He) must overcome the strong presumption that counsel’s performance was within a wide range of professional conduct and that counsel’s decisions were the result of reasonable professional judgment, the reasonableness of which is viewed at the time of trial and under the particular circumstances of the case.”
