¶1concurring: Consistent with my expressed reservation in State v. Parker, 282 Kan. 584, 598, 147 P.3d 115 (2006) (Beier, J., concurring), I respectfully concur in the result of the majority. I depart only from that portion of the majority’s analysis concerning whether the encounter between defendant and the police officers became a detention and whether there was sufficient justification for the pat-down search.
