State v. Robertson

Supreme Court of Louisiana

Decided November 21, 1973

Supreme Court of Louisiana · decided 1973-11-21

Decided 1973-11-21

¶1In re: Alton E. Robertson applying for writs of certiorari and habeas corpus.

¶2Application denied. The ruling of the trial court is correct. In addition, the applicant does not show that any bill taken, but not perfected, had merit.

BARHAM, J.,

¶3is of the opinion a new and out of time appeal should be granted. Our appellate review is limited to bills of exceptions perfected and errors discoverable on the record. Bills were reserved below including one to a motion to suppress — counsel failed to perfect bills — relator has not had an effective appeal.
