SYLLABUS BY THE COURT 1. COMPARATIVE NEGLIGENCE — <italic>Release of Joint Tortfeasors —</italic> <italic>Specific Identity Rule</italic>. Kansas follows the specific identity rule concerning general releases of joint tortfeasors in comparative negligence cases. 2. EMPLOYER AND EMPLOYEE — <italic>Respondent Superior — Application</italic> <italic>in Travel Situations Dependent on Whether Employee under Control of</italic> <italic>Employer</italic>. The test for whether respondeat superior applies in a personal injury action involving a travel situation is not necessarily whether the employee has reached the location of his or her employment. Rather, the test is whether the employee, while traveling to or from the workplace, is under the control of the employer.
