1. ““A vendor’s lien is the equitable right which the seller impliedly retains to subject the land conveyed as security for payment of the purchase money.... The lien is not the result of any agreement between the vendor and the vendee, or of any intention on the part of the grantor to claim it at the time of conveyance....
