State v. Smith

Supreme Court of Louisiana

Decided October 9, 1978

Supreme Court of Louisiana · decided 1978-10-09

Decided 1978-10-09

PER CURIAM.

¶1The defendants appeal from their convictions, each on several counts (Smith, 4 counts; Higginbotham, 3 counts) of aggravated rape, La.R.S. 14:42, of a fellow inmate in the parish jail over a period of five days. They were sentenced to life imprisonment at hard labor.

¶2Upon their appeal, the defendants each rely upon two assignments of error. We have examined them, and we find them to be without reversible merit.

¶3Accordingly, we affirm the convictions and sentences.

¶4AFFIRMED.
