Most-quoted passages
The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 10 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.
“Instantly, there has been no prior adjudication of paternity, and the record does not reflect that appellant has ever acted in a manner that would estop him from denying paternity of the children to be supported. There is no evidence that he ever accepted the children as his own or provided for their support. The presumption of paternity which arises from the marriage relationship does not necessarily render the question of paternity irrelevant. This presumption, although one of the strongest presumptions in the law, ... is a rebuttable presumption.”
