¶1Although a trial court may expedite proceedings and encourage out-of-court settlements, it may not compel a litigant to settle. Rosenfield v. Vosper, 45 Cal.App.2d 365, 114 P.2d 29 (1941); A & C Adjusters, Inc. v. Bragg, 205 A.2d 602 (D.C.1964).
¶2Reversed and remanded.
