Most-quoted passages
The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 7 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.
“To determine whether prosecutorial error has occurred, we consider whether the challenged prosecutorial acts 'fall outside the wide latitude afforded prosecutors to conduct the State's case and attempt to obtain a conviction in a manner that does not offend the defendant's constitutional right to a fair trial.' If error is found, we then determine whether the error prejudiced the defendant's right to a fair trial by considering whether the State can prove that no reasonable possibility exists that the error contributed to the verdict.
