Most-quoted passages
The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 3 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.
“"(a) The court shall determine custody in accord with the best interests of the child. In determining the child's best interests, there shall be no presumption favoring either parent. The court shall consider all relevant factors, including: (1) The age and sex of the child; (2) The wishes of the child's parents; (3) The wishes of the child; (4) The interaction and interrelationship of the child with his parents, his siblings, and with any other person who may significantly affect the child's best interest; (5) The child's adjustment to his home, school, and community; and (6) The mental and physical health of all individuals involved. * * * * * * (e) The court may modify an order determining custody rights whenever modification would serve the best interests of the child."”
3 later decisions quote this exact passage“The court in determining said child custody, shall make a modification thereof only upon a showing of changed circumstances so substantial and continuing as to make the existing custody order unreasonable.”
