State v. Soler

Decided November 4, 1994

Decided 1994-11-04

¶1In re Soler, James; — Defendant(s); applying for writ of certiorari and/or review, supervisory and/or remedial writs; Parish of Jefferson, 24th Judicial District Court, Div. “I”, No. 92-2285; to the Court of Appeal, Fifth Circuit, No. 93-KA-1042.

¶2Denied.

LEMMON, J.,

¶3concurs, voting to deny only because the admission of hearsay evidence by the police officer, telling the contents of a report of the crime for the irrelevant purpose of explaining his subsequent investigation, was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt.

DENNIS, J., not on panel.
