¶1concurring.

¶2I join the majority Opinion and write separately to emphasize that a court should be permitted to change, substitute, or otherwise alter offenses in a defendant’s guilty plea only in those rare circumstances where it is beyond question and absolutely clear from the record that the defendant actually intended, voluntarily, knowingly, and intelli*422gently, to enter a guilty plea to the substituted offense.
