¶1also concurring in part and dissenting in part:
¶2I concur that the judgment of conviction for the offense of armed violence must be reversed; however, I dissent from that part of the decision upholding defendant’s conviction for attempted murder. See People v. Barker (1980), 83 Ill. 2d 319, 333 (Moran, J., dissenting).
