Most-quoted passages

The sentences later courts lift from this opinion, ranked by how many decisions quote each — the parts of the opinion doing the work. These counts are smaller than the citation total above because most of the 7 citing decisions cite the case generally; a passage count includes only decisions quoting that exact language verbatim.

  1. “(a) An offender sentenced to home incarceration during probation shall be subject to special conditions to be determined by the court, which shall include but not be limited to the following: (i) Electronic monitoring. (ii) Curfew restrictions. (iii) Home visitation at least once per month by the Department of Public Safety and Corrections for the first six months. After the first six months, the level of supervision will be determined by the department based upon a risk assessment instrument. (b) The court shall also require the offender to obtain employment and to participate in a court-approved driver improvement program at his expense. The activities of the offender outside of his home shall be limited to traveling to and from work, church services, Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, or a court-approved driver improvement program.
