¶1We affirm the trial court’s summary denial of the appellant’s motion for post-conviction relief claiming ineffective assistance of trial counsel. The appellant’s assertions in support of his claim are either refuted by the record or are insufficient to *961state a claim for ineffective assistance of counsel.
