People v. Beck

Michigan Court of Appeals

Decided April 3, 1980

Michigan Court of Appeals · decided 1980-04-03

Decided 1980-04-03

Cynar, J.

¶1(dissenting). I respectfully dissent.

¶2I feel that any error caused by the admission of the rebuttal testimony was harmless beyond a reasonable doubt in light of the overwhelming evidence of guilt adduced at trial. People v Mead*638ows, 80 Mich App 680, 686-687; 263 NW2d 903 (1977). I would not find the introduction of the evidence relating to the blue steel revolver so offensive to the riiaintenánce of a sound judicial system that it amounted to per Se reversible error. Accordingly, I would affirm defendant’s conviction.
