THE CONTRACTOR'S PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY IS FOR PRODUCING, RECORDING AND BROADCASTING DIVISION PROGRAMS, ASSISTING IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE SPANISH "ENFOQUE ANDINO" PROGRAM, INCLUDING DIRECTING THE SHOW AND THE PREPARATION OF THE WEEKEND PACKAGED VERSION OF THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE NEWS AND TOPICAL MATERIAL, ENTERTAINMENT, MUSICAL AND DRAMATIC PRESENTTIONS, BOTH LIVE AND RECORDED, INTERVIEWS AND PANEL DISCUSSIONS, AND COVERAGE OF SPECIAL EVENTS DIRECTED TO THE ANDEAN AREA. PERFORMS TECHNICAL FUNCTIONS RELATED TO STUDIO CONTROL OPERATION IN THE PRODUCTION AND BROADCAST OF LTIN AMERICAN DIVISION PROGRAMS. OPERATES REEL TO REEL, CARTRIDGE, CASSETTE AND MINIDISC RECORDING AND PLAYBACK EQUIPMENT, TURNTABLES, MIXERS, EQUALIZERS, FILTERS, PATCH PANELS, THE IDAPS/DALET SYSTEM AND OTHER EQUIPMENT AS REQUIED. RESPONSIBLE FOR OPERATOR LEVEL MAINTENANCE OF CONTROL ROOM AND STUDIO EQUIPMENT. SERVES A STUDIO DIRECTOR, MODIFYING PROGRAM FORMAT AS NECESSARY TO MEET ALTERED TIME REQUIREMENTS OR THE DEMANDS OF A LATE BREAKING STORY. PARTICIPATES IN PROGRAM PLANNING SESSIONS WITH TEAM LEADERS, SUPERVISORS, PRODUCERS AND MC'S AND COORDINATES PRODUCTION AND TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF PROGRAM. SELECTS THEMES, BRIDGES, MUSIC, SOUND EFFECTS AND OTHER MATERIALS FOR PROGRAM. EDITS PRE-RECORDED PACKAGES, INTEVIEWS AND TELEPHONE FEEDS TO CORRECT FORMAT AND PRODUCTION ERRORS. ASSISTS MC AND ANNOUNCERS IN THE PREPARATION OF PROGRAM MATERIALS. COORDINATES THE ASSIGNMENT OF VOICES TO ENSURE THAT MUSIC, SOUND EFFECTS, ACTUKALITIES AND VOICED ELEMENTS BLEND TOGETHER FOR A PROFESSIONAL SOUND. MONITORS RECORDINGS FOR PACING, PRONOUNCIATION STYLE AND TECHNICAL QUALITY.
