Benigne faciendae sunt interpretationes propter simplicitatem lai-corum, ut res magis valeat quam; et verba intentione, non e contra, debent inservire

On account of the ignorance of laymen, liberal construction should be given, so that affairs may stand rather than fall; and words ought to serve according to intention, and not otherwise. See 1 Whart. (Pa.) 315.
