Lat. A master. Servus facit ut herus det, the servant does [the work] in order that the master may give [Mm the wages agreed on.] Herus dat ut servus facit, the master gives [or agrees to give, the wages,] in consideration of or with a view to, the servant's doing [the work.] 2 BL Comm. 445.
