Dictionary of Terms and Phrases Used in American or English Jurisprudence

Generally, any writing. In English probate practice, it is used of a testamentary document of any kind, whether a will, codicil, draft of a will the same. Thus it is said that, in testamentary causes, the plaintifl and defendant must, within eight days of the entry of an appearance on the part of the defendant, file their affidavits of scripts; meaning, of whatever testamentary papers they rely upon.
