Dictionary of Terms and Phrases Used in American or English Jurisprudence
Successively; one after another; in order; individually. In cases of great importance, or where the judges differ in opinion, it is usual for them to deliver their judgments individually, instead of delegating one with the power of delivering the united judgment of the whole court, and in such cases they are said to deliver their judgments seriatim.
