Dictionary of Terms and Phrases Used in American or English Jurisprudence

Each, as in the expression all and singular. Also, individual. It is applied to various things or objects regarded individually.

Singular successor

A purchaser or transferee of a specific chattel or specific laud, as opposed to a universal successor, such as the trustee of a bankrupt's estate, or the executor or administrator of a deceased person.

Singular title

The title by which a party acquires property as a singular successor. '
