Dictionary of Terms and Phrases Used in American or English Jurisprudence
The term transaction, in a statute limiting countercial or business negotiation, and not a wrong of violence or fraud. In an action for an assault and battery, the defendant cannot set up an assault and battery committed upon him by the plaintiff, just before the time of the assault complained of.
