V. To assure or guarantee the existence of some fact, such as the quality of goods sold, the validity of a title, the description and uses of insured property. The particular word warrant is not necessary in a deed of general warranty, if other words of equal import are used.

WARRANTEE; -WARRANTOR. The parties, respectively, to whom and by whom a warranty is made or given; the one who receives a warranty, and the one who warrants.
