Lat. [from agere, q. v.] A termination in the composition of Latin words, answering to the termination age, in English, signifying service or duty: as homagium, (servitium hominis,) the service of a man; escuagium, (servitium scuti,) the service of the shield; socagium, (servitium soccae,) the service of the plough, and the like.
