Agricultural Society, 47 Me. 275. 74 Am. Dec. 484; Lane v. Agricultural Society, 62 Minn. 175, 64 N. W. 382, 29 L. R. A. 708; but where its organization and the powers of its board of directors are provided for by statute, and it is not a society for pecuniar; benefit, it is a public corporation: Hern v.
