Adjuster.
He who determines the amount of a claim; as, a claim against an insurance company.
Adjustment
Settlement of the relative rights of parties, of a demand or cross-demands of any nature; in particular, the settlement of the claim of an insured party after a loss.* Unadjusted. Applied to a demand — that the amount is uncertain, not agreed upon.5
