Counsel, opinion; information given, or, perhaps, consultation had, as to action or conduct. Compare Advise; Inops Consilii. See Influence. As per advice. On a bill of exchange, deprives the drawee of authority to pay the bill until in receipt of the letter of advice: the drawer's letter containing information as to paying the bill.
