Against the will; unwilling.
Ab invito
From an unwilling person. In invito. Against a resisting party. Frequently applied to proceedings against a party who opposes the demand made upon him, and also to the judgment or decree made in such case. Taxes are said to be levied in invitum. Invito domino. The owner being unwilling. Said of the " taking " in larceny.
