To determine upon, declare, announce: as, to render a verdict, or a judgment. Rendering a judgment is announcing or declaring the decision of the court. When a judgment is formed in the mind of a justice of the peace and then publicly announced by him it is rendered. "Entered" and "rendered" may be synonymous.*
