Solum

The lowest part: land, soil..ffidiflcatum solo, solo eedit. What is built upon the land, goes with the land: a building follows the ownership of the land. See Fixture. Cujus est solum, ejus est usque ad eoelum et ad inferos. Of whom is the land, of him is it also to the sky and to the deepest depths: he who owns the land owns all above and all below the surface. Upward no man may erect a building to overliang another's land; and downward, whatever is in a direct line belongs to the owner of the surface.'
