Appewdage

Where the question was whether a stereoscope, with views, was a "necessary appendage " to a schoolhouse, the court said that the words quoted, as used in a statute, referred to things connected with the building or designed to render it suitable for use as a schoolhouse.^ Under the same statute charts and maps to be hung upon the walls may be called *' appendages " or " apparatus."' Certainly a well would be a necessary appendage; ^ and, also, a fence aroimd the school building."
