The abandonment of a claim or right to him (against whom the claim exists or the right is to be enforced. See 50 S. W. (Tex.) 1081. A sort of conveyance of one’s right in lands to another who has some former estate in possession. See 21 N. J. L. 347. To discharge from custody or from a lien. See, also, Real release.
