Restraining order

Ballentine's Law Dictionary · James A. Ballentine · 1916

Ballentine's Law Dictionary

Distinguishable from an injunction, in that it is intended only as a restraint upon the defendant until the propriety of granting an injunction, temporary or perpetual, can be determined, and it merely restrains the proceedings meantime.

See 25 Mont. 135, 63 Pac. 1043.
